Photography has been apart of my life from my early teenage years, it was a way to keep my memories and share both sides of my life. I was born in the Rocky Mountains but was raised in the South of England and moved back to the US after university.
When I would make trips to Colorado to see my dad and the rest of my family as a kid, I would document it with whatever camera I had, so I could share my summer adventures with my friends back in the UK. It was a very different life to what they knew, and I wanted to find a way to connect them to a part of me, my history and a culture that I was part of. I wanted to form a connection between the two worlds. I still have that urge today.
That is why my work tells a story, forms connections and inspires.
